Community Involvement

EcoPlanz believes it is vital that people contribute to their community by whatever means they have to be involved.

Kim is a on the board of trustees for the CREW Land and Water Trust.  She is helping to raise awareness of the importance of CREW and seeks monetary contributions.  In 2018, EcoPlanz was fortunate enough to be a major sponsor.

EcoPlanz provided pro-bono wetland delineation services to the Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum for their parking lot expansion project.

EcoPlanz provided pro-bono environmental management recommendations to the Calusa Nature Center.

EcoPlanz has supported environmental education through the Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum on Sanibel Island by sponsoring a school field trip, sponsoring a teacher’s shell kit, and funding a water filter for a new aquarium.

EcoPlanz sent a teacher’s shell kit and soils comparison kit to an elementary school in Brighton, Colorado, to support exposing young children to the wonders of this world.

EcoPlanz donated to the Harry Chapin Food Bank.

EcoPlanz is a member of the local Public Broadcasting System (PBS) & National Public Radio (NPR) station WGCU.
